Joël
van der Beek has
more than ten years of experience in

Since 1994
active as a consultant with various
international consultancy firms such as the Netherlands Economic
Institute (international applied macro- and sector
economics), Policy Research Corporation (strategic management,
mainly in development cooperation and in the oil
and gas sector, the ports and transport industries), TransCare
(logistics
and railtransport). Joël has published on various
themes: social cost-benefit analysis, economic processes in spatial and
town-planning, de Dutch oil- and gas industry, and maritime
economics. He is a board member of Economists
for Peace and Security and organiser of the Isaac
Roet Essay Competition for students. In
1993 Joël was cofounder of Happietaria,
a restaurant chain established to generate revenue for charity.
Fiona
Buruma Fiona Buruma is Master of Science in
Econometrics from Erasmus University Rotterdam. She is registered
valuator after graduating at the Rotterdam School of Management. Her
fields of expertise are financing, valuations and quantitative

She worked
with a multinational
company in the telecommunications sector and with an M&A
consulting
firm. In Tokyo and Dubai she gained experience in financial
institutions, working for Citibank and Fujibank. Fiona is associated to
Econovision as an independent advisor. Assignment on the subject of
valuation, financing, budgetting, financial reporting, efficiency
improvements and quantitative analysis are well off in her hands.
Adriaan
Kooijmans,
former ambassador, specialized
in the Middle Eastern region and languages (Persian and Arabic) at the
University of Leiden. He gained extensive international experience
while serving as a diplomat ... (more)

New York, Jeddah, Tripoli, Tehran, Kabul and Khartoum. His expertise
relates in particular to conflict management, mediation, humanitarian
assistance and reconstruction and development aid in (post)conflict
countries. In this context, Adriaan collaborated
intensively with UN-agencies and (I)NGO’s. His experience
includes advising on the positioning of Dutch companies in the Middle
East. As a professional negotiator and a political analyst, he is an
expert in assessing risks and opportunities for international
organizations and private companies working in an international
environment. With his experience in the Muslim world, Adriaan is well
positioned
to advise on strategies for the integration of Muslim minorities in
European society.
Lygia de
Salles Freire Cesar is
quantitative economist. She has five years of experience working in
economic consultancies in Sao Paulo (Brazil) , where she conducted
economic research and helped to elaborate economic scenarios for Brazil

holds a Master of Science degree in Economics from the University of
Warwick (United Kingdom). Previously, she completed a Bachelor degree
in Economics at Insper Institute in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Her work
experience is mainly in the areas of economic and quantitative
analysis, econometrics and public accounts. Lygia is fluent in English
and Spanish, as well as Portuguese, her native language.
Ben Pilgram
studied
International Business at the Maastricht University and the University
of Newcastle (Australia). He is an economist with an quantitative and

international cooperation and emerging markets. He works for clients in
the energy industry, in banking, and in telecom. He works as volunteer

Dongxu

Business Management Studies and is doing his Masters in Logistics at
Rotterdam Business School (Netherlands). He has worked with KMM
and with the Dutch Ministry of Public Works, Road and
Water Management.
His experience is in port logistics, business development (China-EU)
and project assessment. Dongxu is fluent both in English and Mandarin.
Rajesh
Ramachandran
is currently pursuing a PhD in Quantitative economics
from
the University of Bielefeld, University of Pantheon Sorbonne Paris and

program. He has previously done his Masters in Economics from the Delhi
School of Economics, University of Delhi followed by a European Masters
in Law and Economics from Erasmus University (Rotterdam), University of
Hamburg and University of Bologna in a joint program. Besides his
strong theoretical and academic background in the field of economics
Rajesh has also been involved in short term projects and internships
with
Watson and Wyatt Ltd. and Roulac Global Places as a
member of the economics division and a researcher. He has also worked
with non-governmental organisations in India to address pertinent
social issues like child labour and promotion of civil society. Rajesh
is fluent in English, Hindi and Tamil and has basic knowledge of German.
